UnveilHex's core feature is map exploration — revealing zones as you visit them. To make this work, we need your location.

When: Only when the app is running (foreground or background, if permitted)
How it's used: Calculations happen locally on your device to determine which zones you've visited
Storage: Your exploration data stays on your device — we don't upload it to servers
You're in control: Location access requires your permission. You can revoke it anytime in your device settings, though this will limit app functionality.
Device & Technical Data
Through advertising services, we may collect minimal non-identifying technical information:
- Device model and operating system version
- App version information
- Approximate location (derived from IP address by ad networks)
This data is collected by third-party ad services and helps deliver relevant ads.
Advertising Data
UnveilHex displays advertisements to support free access. Ad networks collect data to personalize ads and measure campaign performance. This may include:
- Device identifiers (Advertising ID)

Important: We don't control third-party ad networks' data practices. See Section 6 for more information about these services.

On Your Device
Your exploration progress (XP points, visited zones, unlocked achievements) is stored locally on your device using standard app storage. We do not maintain cloud servers or user profiles for game progress.
Note: If you uninstall UnveilHex, your locally stored progress may be deleted by your device's operating system.
Third-Party Services
Analytics and advertising partners may retain logs and crash reports according to their own retention policies, typically ranging from 90 days to 24 months.

To provide advertising and analytics, UnveilHex integrates with third-party services that collect and process data independently. These typically include:
- Google AdMob / Google Play Services: For displaying ads and measuring performance

Background location is optional but recommended for the best experience. Both iOS and Android require explicit permission for background location access, which you can grant or revoke at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
UnveilHex is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through UnveilHex, please contact us immediately at mercenary.devs@gmail.com. We will take prompt steps to delete such information.

- Location access: Revoke in your device settings (note: this limits app functionality)
